Topic - God Promises Shall Come To Pass

This devotion has been designed to encourage the body of Christ. Our faith is being tested in trusting God and knowing He is our only resource. Therefore we must know he keeps his promises to them that walk not after the flesh.  We trust that this lesson will bring light to those that read it.

Introduction:
Promise is a solemn agreement, by which one pledges his veracity that he will perform, or cause to be preformed. Promises differ from the commands of God. Some promises are predictions, as the promise of the Messiah and the blessing.  We can rest in God promises.

II Corinthians 1:20

For all the promise of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the gory of God by us.

Promises are an oral or written agreement to do or not to do something; vow.

Roman 9:8

They, which are the children of the flesh, these are the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Hebrew was called the children of the promise. Also the true believers of Christ and heirs of the promise.

Galatians 4:28
Now we brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

Hebrews 6:12

That ye be not slothful, but follows of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

God promised Mary that she would give birth to the Messiah. The promise one, also her cousin Elizabeth the angel appears unto Joseph and said take Mary for thy wife. She shall bring forth their firstborn and called his name Jesus. He shall save people from there sins.

II Peter 3:13

Nevertheless we according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

I John 2:25

And this is the promise that he hath promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Deuteronomy 15:6

God promise us eternal life if we walk upright before him. For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee, and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

Ephesians 1:13

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also, after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the holySpirit of promise.

Conclusion:
Shall means pass tense. God's word will not return back void. Meaning it's already done. God's word is a lamp unto our feet. It will guide us into all truth. We must obey and trust in God that the agreements we have in His word shall come to pass as our words line up with His words. Death and life is in the power of the tongue.
Pass
meaning to cease, come to an end. Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
